International Thanksgiving to God is quarterly celebrated by the
Members of Church of God International (MCGI) with the leadership of the
Presiding Minister Brother Eliseo F. Soriano in the ADD Convention Center in Apalit,
Pampanga and this last for three consecutive days.
In the first day, two new topics were taught to us then the youth
presented their song, same as second and third day. Actually, those three days
were very special for me. Even though there’s nothing unique situation happened
in those days, I’m contented with the understanding I got from Bro. Eli. I am
so blessed because I became part of this great congregation.
The very essence of this event is first, to give thanks to our God
Almighty. For all His loving kindness, for the blessings, for the trials we’re
in and for all the things He does even if we are not aware. Whether it is good
or bad in our perspective, in the end it will be beneficial for us. That’s why
we need to thank Him. Next is the listening the words of God. It is very
important for us to know, then understand and apply all of the teachings of our
Lord Jesus Christ in our daily living. The gospel will lead us to salvation.
Three days of thanksgiving is not enough for us, the members of the
Church of God. Just thinking on how great our Creator is, makes them to desire to
follow Him, to be His lowly servant and to be with Him in eternity.
