The Reasons Behind

          I remember, the time when I receive a message from my cellphone, saying that I was able to pass in La Verdad Christian College. At first, I was so shocked because I really don't expected that. I already prepared myself that I can't make it into college because there's only a few days before the class started.
          It such a great news for me. I'm so glad and excited. For me, college life makes a new experience. I'm able meet new friends, new classmates, new instructors and new environment. Everything seems a new start.
          First day of school. Oh! It's so hard for me to adjust from being a high school student. It is a normal feeling for a newbie, like me. As days pass, I'm already adjusted and I feel comfortable with them. They were so friendly and everyone was so nice. They were such a true family of mine. I had many experiences with them. There are happy, sad, thrilling and exciting moments with them. We were bonded and united as one, that's why I love them. MCT - 12 first semester, batch 2011.
          In second semester, an unexpected event happened to me, which became my reason to stop in studying for a while. Now, I came back to continue my studies. With my new classmates and friends, I don't feel that I'm out of them. Everyone was so approachable and so easy to befriend. MCT - 13 second semester, batch 2013. My new family, my new batch mates. I'm so glad to be with them. Thank you so much classmates for adopting us -- with Erlinda Quimba and Rholand Austero.
          I believe, everything happens for a reason. The time when I was able to pass in this institution, the time when I stopped, the time when I continued my studies and to be with my new classmates. I really don't know why these things happened to me. Only God knows the reasons behind it.

Christian Living Week :)

         This photo was taken up after our Christian Living Week competition held in our school (La Verdad Christian College) last January 31, 2013. The one wearing in stripes was my adviser and professor in Political Science. The event was so fun and enjoyable. I can't explain what I've felt especially when our section was recognized as "over-all champion in all categories." It was really an unexpected award for us because we know that there are a lot of students which are better that us. Thanks be to God for all His loving and kindness. To God be the glory, forever.

To my Dearest Kuya

          Dear Kuya was a program in AM Station 13.50 khz Radio La Verdad, launched last January 14, 2013. It was conceptualized and  hosted by our very own, Kuya Daniel Razon.
          Unlike the programs in other stations, Dear Kuya gave their letter senders a biblical advice through the resource person Bro. Eli Soriano -- the most sensible preacher in our times. Not only that, the story of the letter sender was also dramatized by the voices of the Mass Communication Scholars from La Verdad Christian College in Caloocan.
          This program was very recommended for all ages. We can learn from the story and experience of others. Aside from that, we can also relate ourselves through it.
          Dear Kuya was aired from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon, every weekdays. It was also live simulcasted in untvradio.com.

Song Review

       
               I was really amazed how A Song Of Praise Music Festival was being conceptualized by Brother Eli Soriano and Kuya Daniel Razon. There is no one can think like them. They are the true preachers that God sent to us in our time.
               Before, ASOP was only in the congregation but now it is already telecast and even the non-members of the church can also join in the said competition. Actually, I like all the song entries because I know they were written through the inspired hearts of the composers. Usually, they were writing a song based on their own experiences an how God was being there in times of their difficulties and sorrow. By the help of this competition, many composers were motivated to write songs of praise. Because in this way, they can express their feelings on how they were thankful and grateful for all the blessings. And all the things that is happening to them whether it is good or bad.
               I am very delighted to all these songs. It was so refreshing and inspiring. Truthfully, every songs of praise I hear seems talking to my inner being. I can't even explain the comfort I felt every time I can hear these kind of song. It's like a lullaby to my ears.
               I'm hoping that all the competitors joining in this competition, will not get tired in making and writing songs of praise for the glory of the Lord. As a Christians, the only thing that we can do to repay at least, for all the goodness and loving-kindness of our Almighty God, was through singing and serving Him forever. That is the true essence of our existence.

Gadget Review!

               High-technology has a huge part of our daily lives especially in our times. We used it everyday, every time and everywhere even if we are not aware on it. And one of the product of technology was cellphone. It is the most common gadget now a days. We used it to communicate to anyone in easier and faster way. It helps us to connect to a person we need to contact in urgent. It let people get in touch with one another even if they were separated or far to each other. Cellphone actually plays a big role especially in communicating.
               I don't ever think before that cellphones will have a great part in our lives. Now, cellphones were not only a luxury, it is a necessity. If we use the current technology in its purpose, we can get its benefits. But we should always remember that these benefits has its limitations and disadvantages. We must use these technologies in rightful way.
               This is actually the unit of my cellphone. It is GT-E2230m of Samsung. Even if it looks very simple,     it was convenient and reliable to use.

Movie Review!

 

THE MOVIE

“Isang Araw Lang (the movie)” is one of the greatest films I’ve ever watched. Actually, it is my favorite film and the best as I see. I was so fascinated and amazed after I watched this movie. You can say, it was “kumpleto rekados” in terms of acting and concept. It has drama, action, comedy and a bit of romance. There is a lot of moral that we can get in this movie. Also, it is highly recommended especially to the children who have been abandoned by their parents. I have actually learned from the movie that they must not lose hope or rebelled just because of that bad experience. But, they should get strength from it. Not only that, even the politics was touched in this movie. The help that a public servant, especially politicians, must not be boasted to anyone, or else, they will look like hypocrites. A good deed should be actually done in secret for us to gain God’s mercy and not people’s praise.

There are many people; mostly children were involved to many crimes, even robbery. Because of the poverty, most of our countrymen do crimes out of their intention for the mean to survive. But still, you cannot put the blame to those people that only doing that to survive. On the other hand, syndicate using these children to earn money. Sad to say but this is a very common issue now a day. It is a common problem, yet solution is uncommon. I was motivated and inspired on this movie. And with this, I felt so lucky because even if we are just poor, I was not been like other children that suffered the feeling to be alone.

I also like the scene when Kuya Daniel (as the main character) was giving donation to the natives together with his household. The advocacy of Brother Eli and Kuya Daniel was being pointed out to this movie. “Ang paggawa ng mabuti ay hindi magbubunga ng masama”. Actually, there are many scenes in the movie that the main character was giving and helping others. I was so delighted because even if they not that well-of they used to be charitable.

When it comes to the actors and actresses in this movie, I should say that they effectively showed the exact personality of the character that they portray. The movie came out very well and very realistic. I also want to acknowledge the director of the movie in his effort of making the movie thriving for the viewers.

          Finally, Isang Araw Lang (the movie) is one of a kind film that completes the real essence of film making and true public service at the same time. The movie reflects real life situations that we may normally encountered in our everyday lives. It encourages us to do good deeds and we were not regretting it. So, for a person like me I can easily relate myself to the scenarios in this movie. I am glad that the movie, even taught me on how to deal with those situations as a Christian. The movie can create a better person out of us.
